WORLD BASC ORGANIZATION and BASC Colombia invite you to the upcoming BASC World Congress to be held September 19th and 20th in the beautiful colonial City of Cartagena, at the Hotel las Americas Convention Center.

The theme of the Congress is “Risk Management and Trust: The Road to Security and Competitiveness”. The speakers and panelists will focus their presentations on the critical role that trust plays in managing risks among partners. We believe it is the fundamental pillar in building security and competitiveness throughout the international supply chain.

The Congress will be the place where the most important companies engaged in the supply chain and commerce in the continent will meet, including more than 350 companies from 16 countries, interested in business development, security, trust and prosperity in teh Americas.

The goal is to strengthen cooperation between governments, customs, business and institutional organizations, the private sector and entities promoting security worldwide.

OBJECTIVES

• To enhance cooperation ties between governments, customs, business organizations and international private sector institutions, to promote a safe environment for world trade.
• Highlight Trust and Risk Management, as the road to achieve security and competitivity in the supply chain, as key factors for the promotion and facilitation of trade.
• To introduce detailed trends, practices, international regulations and thematic analysis on issues related to the development of international trade, security, facilitation and prosperity of the Americas.
• To facilitate networking between local and international companies from the region.
• Update participants on relevant issues and facilitation and security agreements such as, the Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA), supply chain security, Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) and Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT), GLOBAL BASC, among others.
• To promote among the entrepreneurs a high quality and profitability management tool for international business in security and logistic processes.
• To encourage the implementation of the BASC International Norm and Standards for secure processes throughout the international supply chain.
